Pottery Barn hits Philippines

American furniture and home accessories specialty store Pottery Barn is set to make its entry into the Philippines.

The retailer will open its first shop at Bonifacio High Street on May 9.

The opening is a result of an agreement between its parent Williams-Sonoma Incorporated and Stores Specialists Incorporated.

SSI also has the right to operate other Williams-Sonoma brands, including upmarket kitchenware chain Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn Kids, PBteen and West Elm.

“More than ever, our customers are looking for unique, high-quality home products, and Williams-Sonoma Inc’s family of brands exemplifies the innovative style, quality and service they expect,” said Anthony Huang, EVP of SSI.

Williams-Sonoma Incorporated CEO Laura Alber said the Philippines is a potential market because of its strong, steadily growing economy and consumer interest in high-quality, stylish home products.
