Revlon in aggressive India expansion

Cosmetics company Revlon plans a massive expansion in India.

Revlon India, a joint venture between Modi Group and Revlon, plans to open 100 new stores across the country over the next three years.

“India has always been a priority market for Revlon with its ever growing appetite for retail spending. These are exciting times for the company here as we are broadening our target horizon,” said Modi-Revlon chairman and CEO Umesh Modi.

Modi said the new stores will primarily sit inside shopping malls, to provide consumers direct and easy access.

Revlon expects turnover this year to stand at Rs300 crore (about $50 million).
