Johnny Rockets Malaysia expands

QSR chain Johnny Rockets has opened its second location in Malaysia.

Under franchise partner AUM Hospitality (AUMH), the latest addition to the Malaysia dining scene is located in Avenue K, a retail hub in Kuala Lumpur.

Avenue K Johnny Rockets joins more than 35 planned dining options in the newly remodelled complex that serves those who live and work in the city.

The latest Johnny Rockets outlet satisfies Malaysians’ appetite for burgers, American fries, hand-spun shakes and classic sandwiches. Servers that twirl straws and dance to music from a decades-spanning jukebox provide an interactive dining experience that appeals to both local residents and area visitors alike.

“AUMH is known for having an educated pulse on what’s happening in the local community. By selecting Avenue K to open its second Malaysian restaurant, the franchise group has positioned itself in a highly-trafficked area with more than 2 million people living within 20 minutes of the complex,” said John Fuller, Johnny Rockets CEO.

The opening of Avenue K Johnny Rockets comes on the heels of the newly launched The Curve shopping mall location that debuted to the public in late October 2013. Avenue K marks the 11th Johnny Rockets restaurant in Southeast Asia.

In addition to two locations in Malaysia, Johnny Rockets operates six outlets in the Philippines and three in Indonesia.
