Indonesian online retailer looks offshore

Indonesian online mens fashion retailer Maskoolin plans overseas expansion by launching websites in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia this year.

The websites aim to take local brands to the global audience, it says.

“We plan to start selling and shipping overseas by mid-year. We will make certain changes to our platform to adjust the prices for the overseas market and we plan to keep shipping free,” said Mustafa Kemal, marketing and sales director at PT Rocktokom Ritel Busana, owner of Maskoolin.

Launched in August 2012, Maskoolin targets males aged 21 to 35. It boasted a customer base of around 75 million in Indonesia at the end of 2013.
