Arcadia eyes India

British company Arcadia Group plans to expand into India.

Sir Philip Green, who owns the company, said they will begin the Indian expansion by launching Dorothy Perkins, a fashion brand for women, through Indian online retailer Jabong.com.

Arcadia is also currently exploring opportunities to launch other brands including Topshop and Miss Selfridge.

“This is early days and we have to experiment, try things out and look at ways of doing things as we look at different markets,” said Green.

Arcadia Group is the UK’s largest privately owned clothing retailer with more than 2500 stores across brands BHS, Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Outfit, Topshop, Topman and Wallis.
