Italian brand Antony Morato is expanding into China, planning to open 40 stores by 2017.
The first is scheduled to open in Shanghai in September.
Antony Morato was established in 2007 and positions itself in the casual men’s sportswear category.
The brand is also expanding to Thailand, through partnership with Central Robinson Group, owner of Italy’s La Rinascente and Illum department store in Copenhagen. The partners plan to open 15 stores across Thailand by 2017.
It has also signed a development agreement for the Korean market. Talks are also in progress on opening in Indonesia and India.
The openings are part of a plan to boost visibility in the Far East.
