Fast-casual American-style Mexican food restaurant chain Jimboy’s Tacos has teamed up with real estate company, The Krrish Group, to expand to India.

As master franchisee, The Krrish Group, will launch the multi-store opening in India later this year. The first restaurant is slated to open in September 2014, with seven to 10 more restaurants opening in the next two years.

Jimboy’s Tacos offers tacos, burritos, salads, burgers and more.

From its humble beginning in 1954, Jimboy’s Tacos developed into almost 40 locations throughout the Sacramento and Tahoe areas.

In 2012, the brand revealed that it would remodel all of its nearly 40 restaurants to an adventure-themed prototype by the end of 2016. The adventure aspect reinforces the chain’s branding efforts around a fun, entertaining place to eat than its previous incarnation.

The American-style Mexican food restaurant chain will continue to focus on the food, using fresh, natural premium ingredients, and preparing everything fresh daily.
