K11 concept expands in China

Hong Kong’s New World Development is expanding its unique K11 art meets shopping mall concept into Shenyang.

Like its original mall in downtown Hong Kong and another newer one in Shanghai, Shenyang K11 Art Mall mixes core concepts of art, people and nature, in a high-end mall in the Shenyang New World Center. It will be one of the biggest shopping malls in Shenyang when it opens in January 2016.

The Shenyang New World Center includes offices, a hotel, serviced apartments and a conference hall.

New World has appointed JLL to assist in the leasing of the centre.

“As an expert in the Japanese retail market, JLL will bring Japanese retailers to the landmark K11 Art Mall in China,” said Taichi Lio, head of property and asset management (PAM), JLL Japan.

“At the same time, with JLL’s global network and experiences, I believe that JLL will serve as a bridge between the international developer and Japanese retailers seeking overseas expansion and help them enhance the value of the property.”
