Italian coffee brand enters Pakistan

Italian company Co.Ind Spa has partnered with Islamabad-based company Ararat International Trading to open Attibassi franchisees across Pakistan.

Founded in Bologna in 1918 by Agostino Atti and Marco Bassi, Attibassi is now at more than 1000 locations around the world.

The partners plan to open six outlets during the first six months and another 20 over the next three years.

The expansion is aimed at capitalising on a fast growing organised coffee business in Pakistan, where coffee consumption has sky-rocketed, as in the Middle East and Far East.

“We look forward to the expansion, and feel we made an excellent choice of partner to represent such an exclusive Italian coffee company and coffee shop chain in Pakistan,” said Ararat International president Garo Vanian.
