Uniqlo continues US expansion

Japanese fast fashion brand Uniqlo is continuing its US market expansion by entering Los Angeles, where it will open five stores.

The stores will be at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Glendale Galleria in Glendale, Northridge Fashion Center in Northridge, Beverly Center in Los Angeles and Los Cerritos Center in Cerritos.

“The response to our northern California stores has been fantastic, so we are thrilled to bring the Uniqlo experience to our fans in Los Angeles, a city known for its diversity and energetic lifestyle,” said Uniqlo USA CEO and Fast Retailing senior VP Larry Meyer.

Uniqlo plans to open more stores in 2014, including in new markets of Boston and Philadelphia, and the existing markets of Northern California, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.

Currently, there are 20 open Uniqlo stores in the US, as well as Uniqlo.com, which offers nationwide online shopping.
