Sa Sa’s Labour Day sales decline

Cosmetics retailer Sa Sa says same store sales growth in Hong Kong and Macau declined five per cent during the three-day Labour Day holiday. The company blamed the decline on the drop of inbound mainland China tourist arrivals during the break. “During the period, the total number of transactions recorded a growth of approximately 10 per cent, while weaker purchasing power led to a drop of over 10 per cent in the total average sales per transaction,” says CEO Simon Kwok.
