[:en]South Korean travel retailer Shilla plans to open its first downtown duty free shop in Cambodia.

The location is likely to be close to Angkor Wat, the nation’s most popular tourist attraction and a world heritage site.

“Hotel Shilla’s board of directors approved the business. But the Cambodian authorities have not finalised the plan, and the final confirmation may be made early next year,” a company official told The Korea Times.

Shilla currently runs six airport duty free shops in South Korea and three in Singapore, where another one will be added by October.
