Uno de 50 opens in SE Asia

Spanish jewellery brand Uno de 50 has opened its first store in Southeast Asia.
The store, in the Philippines’ SM Aura Premier in Taguig City, is a partnership with SM Retail Group.

“Southeast Asia is a region with a red-hot retail industry. In the Philippines, three key factors converged in our decision to enter the market. First, it is a big market with a growth trend in fashion consumption; second, a brand with a difference like ours has a considerable niche. Third, we have the best possible partner in the country, the SM Retail Group,” Jose Azullay, president and CEO of Uno de 50, said.

The brand was founded in the late 1990s by a group of designers and produces rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and watches that combine metal with leather, resin, glass and other materials. It has 501 domestic and 25 overseas shops.
