European marketing and services firm Garant Group and local private investment company A Sachi Ventures have joined to take Garant-Moebel concepts into the Philippines.

The partnership will also support small and medium furniture retailers by enabling them to convert their mom-and-pop stores into Garant stores.

According to Garant-Moebel director Christoph Hampel, by collaborating with the Garant Group, the small and medium furniture retailers will see upgrades in their stores, including design concepts, layout and inventory. They will also gain the opportunity to be listed as a global supplier to Garant.

“Furniture makers in the Philippines will have ready distribution channels, both here and abroad, when they pass the quality standard of Garant,” said Philippine Franchise Association founder Samie Lim.

Lim added the partnership targets 50 Garant-affiliated stores in the country in five years.
