Thailand’s Greyhound sold

Fashion and cafe company Greyhound Group has found a new owner in Sub Sri Thai (SST).

Warehouse provider and food and restaurants operator SST, through its subsidiary Mudman Co, has acquired Greyhound for 1.85 billion baht ($58.24 million).

Bhanu Inkawat, founder and creative director of Greyhound, said the two companies have synergies in vision of overseas expansion, especially in Asia.

Greyhound Cafe has 10 restaurants in Thailand, five franchise branches in Hong Kong and two in China. It plans to have 25 overseas outlets within three to five years, focusing on high-potential markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Dubai.

In 2012, SST has also acquired 100 per cent of Mudman, Golden Donuts (Thailand) Co and ABP Cafe (Thailand) Co.
