Startup launches food concept in Hong Kong

A new food concept catering to children has been launched in Hong Kong.

The ‘Homemade Foods’ (www.homemade-foods.com/) was started by American Amy Ward and gives parents the chance to order a variety of freshly made organic baby food and fare for larger children from four months to six years old and have them delivered to home.

“Baby food on delivery is a common service in the US, but it’s not developing systematically in Asia or Hong Kong. There’s a good business niche here and as we can provide quality, reliable and safe food. Parents can save time cooking and focus on caring and spending time with their children,” Ward said.

She said her kitchen is fully licensed and uses organic ingredients of sustainable origins, shipped daily from the US, Australia and Europe. The food packaging is made in Denmark with BPA-free plastic.

“We aim at expatriate parents to begin with, but in time I believe that local parents will love the concept as they know more about the advantages of nutritious organic baby food on delivery,” she added.
