North American children’s specialty apparel retailer The Children’s Place is to expand into India.

The Children’s Place has signed Arvind Lifestyle Brands as franchisee to open 50 stores over time beginning in 2015.

“We are making significant strides in our international franchise business, and we remain focused on providing great fashion and value for kids around the world,” said Jane Elfers, president and CEO of The Children’s Place.

The Children’s Place has 1113 stores in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico, an online store at www.childrensplace.com, and 54 international stores open and operated by its franchise partners.
