Deep insight into Asia’s booming retail market

Retail professionals from Australia and beyond will have the chance to see the very best of Asian retailing in a four city tour organised by Westfield Retailer Relations.

The 10 day long Westfield Asia Express Retail Study Tour takes in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore.

Tour leader Jack Hanrahan, says participants will be immersed in “a total sensory experience with visits to the best retail in Asia right now”.

Among the highlights:

  • A look at some of the stunning brand flagship stores in Shanghai, including Adidas and visits to premium centres Kerry Parkside and K11.
  • A tour of Louis Vuitton’s underwater Maison concept store at Singapore’s Marina Bay.
  • An exclusive behind the scenes look at Li & Fung’s Hong Kong headquarters where the retail distributor and operator has its very own private ‘shopping mall’ for retailers sourcing unique products.
  • An insight into the newly expanded retail offer at Macau, Asia’s own Las Vegas.

Equally important to the site visits will be presentations by leading Asian retailers and experts on the Asia retail market – in all four cities – including from senior retail executives of major brands.

“Participants in the tour will spend time with some of the leading retail minds in Asia, who will share their own insights into the retail industry including understanding the Chinese consumer, the latest in store design, supply chain management and current insights into the digital space,” said Hanrahan.

Places are limited with preference given to retailers looking to enter the Asian market.

The Asian Express Retail Study Tour runs from October 30 to November 8.
