Adidas eyes 400 new Chinese cities

Global sports brand, adidas, intends to increase its footprint in China by expanding to another 400 cities by the end of 2015.

adidas already has 7600 shops across 1000 Chinese cities.

To help it accelerate its expansion strategy for China, adidas is partnering with GMAP Marketing Consulting, part of Callcredit Information Group.

GMAP’s Shanghai team will help adidas identify target customers and develop optimal location strategies for store networks and expansion.

Tom Brown, retail expansion director, adidas China, described the partnership with GMAP like “a breath of fresh air”.
