Retail Expo expands to China

The organisers of Retail Asia Expo have entered a partnership to launch a similar event in China.

Equipmag Retail Expo China 2014 will set a new benchmark for retail innovation and technology in China from October 15 to 17 after Comexposium Group and Diversified Communications jointly announced the expo last November.

Retailers have responded “with great enthusiasm” for the new event. To date, more than 70 companies from Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, Malaysia, France and Germany have signed up to exhibit leading technologies and equipment for the retail industry at the event. The organsiers expect more than 8000 professional buyers to converge on the 4000sqm+ exhibition space in the central hall of the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

Comxposium, a top 10 global trade event organiser and Diversified, the organiser of the well-known retailing trade show, Retail Asia Expo, say they want to build the expo into the most innovative and influential retail event of the year.

Industry leading brands like Philips, Anveo, Cylande, Lux Design, MicroStrategy, Musicmatic, Kingdee, Evnoic and more have all confirmed attendance, bringing the latest retail technologies and equipment that will change the look of future shops; ranging from POS machines, NFC and EAS, lighting, HVAC, marketing services, digital marketing solutions to display and retail design.

“This edition of the Equipmag Retail Expo China provides more than just an exhibiting platform. The world-class conference sessions at the expo are bound to attract retail elites to share information on the most cutting edge retail technology trends, marketing strategies and design inspirations. Europe’s largest commercial shopping mall developers, Unibail-Rodamco, will send their Chief Development Officer to share the full retail development philosophies, and Chinese search engine pioneer, Baidu, will also be at the event to bring us the forefront of developments in e-commerce and cloud businesses.

“In addition, StartJG, Shopworks and other leading retail design agencies will decrypt their vision behind the successful marketing and advertising of well-known brands, from business strategies to space design. Consultancies including KPMG and Razorfish will bring their latest market research and marketing strategies to help visitors tackle the latest industry challenges. Also, Philips Lighting will combine their technical superiority and visual display specialty, to share magic tricks in retail space with lights and shadows.”

Equipmag Retail Expo China is working in partnership with domestic and international retail associations, including Mall China, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Shanghai Chain Enterprise Association (SCEA) and Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA).
