Taiwanese marketplace heads to Japan

Taiwanese marketplace Pinkoi says it wants to become a pan Asian online retailer after adding Japan to its country network.

Pinkoi, a marketplace for designers in Asia, has launched in Japan, its first major expansion outside its home market.

The online retailer says the highly competitive Japanese online market did not discourage it from expanding there as the company wants to help designers in Japan cross the border.

“We believe there are many opportunities for our team to help Japanese designers bridge the global economy,” co founder and CEO Peter Yen told Tech In Asia.
