Uniqlo opens Osaka flagship

Fast Retailing has opened its third ‘global flagship’ store in Osaka, Japan.

The 2942 sqm, four-level store, which opened Friday, is located in the commercial centre of Umeda, a popular sightseeing area for people from the Kansai area and throughout Japan. It is three minutes walk from Umeda Station, a key commuter hub.

Fast Retailing says the shop is designed to appeal to both domestic and international tourists as well as the local population.

Under the concept of “The best Uniqlo in Osaka, the best Uniqlo in the World,” Uniqlo’s Osaka store will showcase the brand’s full range, including men’s, women’s, kids, and babies.

Some 360 staff will be employed in the shop, serving customers in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean.

Uniqlo Osaka is the brand’s third global flagship in Japan, following the Ginza and Shinsaibashi stores.
