German fashionista opens first store: in Vietnam

An edgy German online fashion boutique has opened its first retail store – in Vietnam.

Established in Germany as an online store only, Floralpunk has now opened its first physical jewellery store in the heart of Saigon.

The concept was founded by Founded by Julia Thuy Linh Doan, a 22 year old Vietnamese living in Berlin “but with my heart in Saigon” and her partner Madox.

“I’m a student, blogger, lash extension artist and founder and co-owner of the online shop www.floralpunk.com,” she writes of herself on her blog.

“I love to eat and read and travel. I’m a horrible perfectionist and suffer from atelophobia. But besides that, I’m a pretty average girl.”

Floralpunk’s signature look is minimalistic, classic black and white with shimmering jewellery that tops off every girls outfit. Saigon’s young trendsetters through to acclaimed fashion editors have been spotted wearing Floralpunk.

Doan says she wanted to take her unique sense of style to Saigon.

The store will stock carefully curated collection of goods which cannot be found easily elsewhere.
