Karl Lagerfeld goes online in 96 nations

Paris based luxury fashion house Karl Lagerfeld has partnerd with Yoox Group to launch Karl.com in 96 countries, including in Asia.

The site will go live late in 2015 in a joint venture partnership described as “long term”.

Karl Lagerfeld says the venture will take “a modern approach to distribution, an innovative digital strategy and a global 360 degree vision that reflects the designer’s own style and soul”.

“Launching eCommerce on Karl.com is the next step into a full omnichannel distribution model,” the company said in a statement.

“I am excited to annouce the launch of our eCommerce site today partnering with the ‘best in class’ ecom provider, Yoox Group. Karl.com will allow us to serve our customers and fans scaling geographical reach and delivering an exceptional experience,” said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld.

Karl.com will offer the full women’s lifestyle mix of the brand – womens ready to wear, bags, shoes and accessories such as small leather goods, watches, eyewear, fragrance and novely items and limited editions.

Karl Lagerfeld bags will be at the core of the brand’s distribution.

One of the world’s celebrated fashion designers, Karl Lagerfeld is globally renowned for his aspirational and cutting-edge approach to style. The designer’s namesake fashion house reflects his own signature aesthetic through creative, cool and accessible-luxe apparel and accessories.

This year, the company will expand its portfolio into childrenswear.
