Zara Xidan Joy City reopens

Joy City Property says Zara, an anchor tenant in its Xidan Joy City mall, has reopened its renovated and expanded store.

The new Zara Xidan Joy City store is 1800 sqm, 700 sqm than the previous shop.

On its reopening day it set a new single-day sales record by a single store, with revenue of RMB 1.05 million. Joy City Property says this makes it Zara’s top ranked store in Asia. Sales on the following day after the reopening still made the store rank among the best in the Asian markets.

The renovated and expanded Zara Store has eye catching floor-to-ceiling display window and Joy City says the strong performance upon reopening is testimony to the property developer’s strategy Boosting Foot Traffic, which complements the retail stores’ marketing efforts for mutual benefits.

It also marks a milestone that reflects Zara parent Inditex Group’s commitment to sustainable development. Compared with a traditional shopping mall, Xidan Joy City says it is able to help its tenants’ stores reduce power consumption by 30 per cent with its environmental protection and energy-saving measures for sustainable development.

Hong Kong listed Joy City Property operates hotels and retail facilities in China.
