Contemporary Italian fashion label MGSM has opened its first store in Southeast Asia.

MGSM Singapore is located on level 2 of Takashimaya on Orchard Rd.

The label is relatively new, a brand name inspired by pop groups MGMT and The Strokes. Design Massimo Giorgetti’s creations are described as something akin to the music made by its namesakes: “vibrant, off-kilter and so very captivating” in the words of fashion blog, Buro247.

MSGM Singapore is just the fourth standalone store for the brand internationally and was opened in partnership with local partner Club 21. Opened last Wednesday, it comprises 100 sqm of floor space selling menswear, womenswear and accessories.

The store was designed by Giorgetti with assistance from local design house CLS Architects. It features prominent black and white marble surfaces, split by a fluorescent yellow line.

MSGM has flagships in Milan and Hong Kong and is sold through multibrand retailers in other markets.
