Retailers considering a presence at the Hong Kong Flower Show 2016 have an opportunity to bid for the privilege in a fortnight.
An auction for commercial stall spaces at the will be held on December 2 at the Lockhart Rd Sports Centre on 11/F, Lockhart Road Municipal Services Building, 225 Hennessy Rd, Wan Chai.
Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the 10-day flower show will be held from March 11 to 20 at Victoria Park.
The 52 commercial stalls to be auctioned for the flower show are as follows:
- 41 goods stalls, each measuring 5m x 5m;
- Four fast food stalls, each measuring 5m x 10m;
- Two fast food stalls, each comprising one stall measuring 5m x 10m and a subsidiary stall of 5m x 5m which shall be operated for sale of soft drinks only under the same licence agreement;
- Four dry food stalls, each measuring 5m x 5m; and
- One book stall measuring 5m x 10m.
Any person who is a Hong Kong permanent resident aged 18 or above can take part in the auction. Each bidder can bid for more than one stall.
Stall types: Fast food stall, dry food stall, book stall
The upset prices are:
- Fast food stall: $28,240;
- Fast food stall with a subsidiary stall: $50,970;
- Dry food stall: $16,980;
- Book stall: $14,430; and
- Goods stall: $21,190.
For one of the fast food stalls, priority shall be given to bidders who are qualified as EatSmart Restaurants under the Department of Health’s EatSmart@restaurant.hk Campaign.
