Leading Changi Airport retailers are serving up free coffee today and tomorrow to help celebrate the 500th “Best Airport” award bestowed on the facility.

Management of DFS Venture Singapore, Lagardere Services Singapore and Shilla Travel Retail are joining Changi Airport leaders serving coffee to travellers and airport staff. They’re on deck from 6am to 11am on the mornings of November 24-25 at nine stations set up across the airport’s three terminals and landside areas.

Changi Airport has described the giveaway of a gesture of thanks to staff and passengers for their “unwavering support” over the years.

In a separate gesture all airport staff will be given an Adidas backpack to celebrate the milestone.

The 500th award came from Business Traveller China magazine which selected Changi as its Best Airport in the World for the 10th time.

“We are both honoured and humbled to have received our 500th Best Airport award,” said Changi Airport Group CEO Lee Seow Hiang.

“This is a significant event and a special gift to the nation too as we draw near to the close of our celebrations for SG50.

“This coffee giveaway is our small way, from CAG and all our partner agencies at the airport, of showing our appreciation to our passengers and members of the airport community who have supported us deeply over the last three decades. The 500th award is an encouragement that will spur us to further innovate and demand from ourselves the highest level of service and the best possible travel experience for all our passengers.”
