Tomica pop up in Olympian City mall.

Model car brand Tomica has created an experiential zone pop up in the centre court of Olympian City shopping centre in Kowloon.
The wonderland has been created beneath a six metre tall Christmas tree surrounded by more than 2000 Tomica model cars and Plarail railroad toys that children can play with.
But it is more than just a display: Children can compete in various challenges in a bid to win limited edition gifts.
Collectors can peruse ‘dead-stock’ collectable models and there is a workshop to create a virtual personalised toy. Using ‘magic spray’ to paint their own distinctive Tomica diecast car on a giant display screen, they can send their completed design as an eCard to friends and family.
The experience zone includes a Christmas pop-up store for the two brands selling latest models. Customers who meet a minimum spend can receive a limited edition model car flown from Japan and other gifts.
The partnership between Olympian City and Tomica extends to other tenants of the southwest Kowloon shopping centre as well. Selected restaurants will celebrate Christmas with Tomica Children’s Meals and young fans of the cars can dine with their Tomica tableware.
At the end of the promotion – on January 3 – Tomica will host a charity auction at the mall, selling all the toy cars used at the driving centre, with proceeds going to Operation Santa Claus.
