Choi Ming Market reopened in Tseung Kwan O

Choi Ming Market in Tseung Kwan O has been reopened after three months of extensive renovation.
Owner Link REIT says the market introduces “a refreshing and creative design that brings a brand new shopping experience” to the Tseung Kwan O neighbourhood.
In redesigning the shopping destination, Link used ideas from fresh markets around the world, including open and uncluttered stall layouts, upgrading of hardware and the introduction of a range of modern services are some of the exciting features offered at this modern shopping destination.
The enhanced Choi Ming Market is now air-conditioned throughout and features modern decor that provides a comfortable customer experience. For a more hygienic environment, the market is reconfigured with new zoning arrangements. Different trades are assigned to a specific zone for a tidier, cleaner and more organised market layout.
LED lighting systems are featured to promote environmental protection.
Link says it set out to attract younger shoppers to the destination. An electronic membership system has been introduced for nearby residents and customers can earn bonus points to redeem gifts when they shop. Student offers have been also introduced to encourage family shopping to sustain the traditional market culture.
To mark the reopening of Choi Ming Market, a series of special offers are available for shoppers, including the redemption of fresh fruits and vegetables or a Wai Yuen Tong soup pack for HK$1 during the designated period. Customers can also redeem tuna sashimi upon presenting receipt of spending of HK$100, (while stocks last).
