Lush Hong Kong opens largest store in Asia

Handmade cosmetics retailer Lush has opened its largest location in Asia – in Soho Square, Central.

The new store incorporates the brand’s new Lush Spa concept – the first to open in Hong Kong.

The five story flagship store located adjacent to the Mid-levels escalator on Lyndhurst Tce, features 6909 sq ft (642 sqm) of floor space.

On the ground levels sit the latest rendition of Lush’s multi-sensory retail experience, showcasing fresh handmade soaps, scrubs, shampoos and cosmetics with all the colour and fragrance the brand is renowned for around the world.

The third floor of the new Lush Hong Kong experience features a cafe in what fashion blog Butterboom describes as “a cosy cottage kitchen” – the ideal precursor to checking in for a spa treatment on the upper floors where Lush Spa offers soothing treatments, scrubs, baths, massages and facials.

As Butterboom explains, Lush makes “beautiful wash products using the freshest ingredients from fruits and plants with minimum preservatives and take sustainability to heart, using minimal packaging so most of their products are on display and comes with makers’ details and expiry dates”.

Given the products are made fresh, a portion are made in Hong Kong from local produce, products “so raw and true to their natural form like soap shampoo and bicarbonate toothpaste especially when we are so used to completely processed beauty products and fancy packaging”.
