Dairy Farm International opens its fourth Sarawak hypermarket this weekend.

The new Giant Hypermarket by GCH Retail in Petra Jaya, will also serve as the regional distribution centre and head office for the group in Sarawak.

Dairy Farm Group regional director food (Malaysia and Brunei) Datuk Tim Ashdown said  the 18.75 ha complex will house 42 shops clustered around the hypermarket. A further 150 temporary stalls have been leased for this Saturday’s soft opening. The official opening will not be until June.

The hypermarket spans 71,000 sqft (6596 sqm) ,including warehouse, staff areas and offices.

GCH Retail is a subsidiary of Dairy Farm International, which also operates Cold Storage, Mercato and Jasons Foodhall.
