Taste of Hong Kong to debut in March 2016

Hong Kong is to become the first Asian destination for the global Taste Festival franchise.
IMG, organiser of Taste Festivals, has confirmed Taste of Hong Kong will take place on the Central Harbourfront from March 10-13 2016.
“The Asian launch promises to unveil a dynamic and fun mix of ingredients for all foodie fanatics,” said Simon Wilson, event director of IMG Culinary Asia.
“IMG is delighted to confirm that Taste of Hong Kong will be our first restaurant festival in Asia. Hong Kong’s inaugural year will grant food connoisseurs access to the finest of Michelin star cuisine and Hong Kong’s top chefs. A variety of the city’s favourites will be presented in one location for the ultimate dining experience,” he said.

Following the successful format of Taste Festivals globally, 12 of Hong Kong’s most celebrated restaurants will join together to serve a premium menu of more than 40 signature dishes on small plates and iconic one-off festival creations. There will be unique Taste of Hong Kong chef collaborations; Champagne master-classes; local artisanal produce to buy; and entertaining, interactive food and wine attractions – all in a casual and celebratory festival environment.
In its 11th year, the upscale festival of European origin, has drawn support from many celebrated foodies, including world-renowned chef and three Michelin star winner, Heston Blumenthal OBE: “Taste is the most serious, indulgent and exciting food festival, bar none,” she says.
Taste Festivals are now celebrated in 22 destinations including Paris, London, Rome, Dubai, Sydney and Cape Town. In a city famous for its cuisine and multi-culturalism, the fine dining community promises to display to locals and visitors alike the eclectic and exquisite Taste of Hong Kong.
