French jeweller Fred Hong Kong debut

French jeweller Fred has opened its first boutique in Hong Kong.
Fred was founded by Argentine-born Fred Samuel in 1936 and over the years his creations have been loved by many stars of Hollywood, including Grace Kelly. Its designers made the Pretty Woman necklace specifically for the film starring Julia Roberts.
While Samuel spent most of his professional life in Paris, the memories of South America remained with him, inspiring each element of his life work. “My creations are inspired by the life, the light, the movement, the energy,” he once said.
LVMH bought the brand in 1976.
The Freds Hong Kong boutique is located on the second floor of Elements shopping centre.
Fashion and beauty blog Butterboom describes the new Hong Kong store as an elegant space which features “clean lines, soft elements like plush rugs and white walls”.
“You’ll find marine-inspired designs for men and women which are minimalist yet elegant and colourful alongside a range of eyewear with elegant frames.”
