Full house for Fashion Hong Kong

A full-house attendance of more than 400 buyers, media and fashionistas attended the Fashion Hong Kong runway show as part of the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF), in conjunction with Copenhagen Fashion Week (Autumn/Winter 2016).
Supported by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the show featured Hong Kong fashion designers, Doris Kath Chan (her second time at the event), Kenax Leung and Lulu Cheung. In the Copenhagen City Hall, the trio showcased a mix of ready-to-wear (men’s and women’s wear) and cocktail dresses. It was the only event to present Asian designers at AW16.
Apart from the Fashion Hong Kong group show, a Fashion Hong Kong Gallery was set up over the three days of the trade show for networking and business opportunities. Regular collections and image-building showpieces were displayed, as well as fashion accessories. Brands included Big Horn, Dare to Dream, Fave by Kenny Li, Les Amis, Loom Loop, Tasteless Hat, Vincelle and Volare.
HKTDC supports the Hong Kong fashion industry by creating marketing opportunities. As well as Copenhagen Fashion Week, the HKTDC joins hands with designers for other fashion markets such as New York Fashion Week (mid-February) and Tokyo Fashion Week (October). At home, Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer and Centrestage will be held in July and September respectively.
