Fashion label Jigsaw mulls sale

The owners of UK fashion label Jigsaw are considering selling the business.

According to a report by CityAM, John Robinson and former John Lewis director Peter Ruis have held talks with financial advisers about options to sell the 45 year old chain.

Sources told the Sunday Times newspaper the pair may float the company, or sell a stake privately – either a majority or a minority.

The company reported a stellar 2015 trading: sales rose by 18.5 per cent to £89.5 million and earnings by 187 per cent to £5.4 million.
