A touring timepiece collection made its second stop in the world for the third of the Watch and Jewellery series of events at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
From the Swiss brand Jaeger-LeCoultre, the new Novelties collection was making its second appearance after being launched at this year’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva. The event was hosted in the private dining room at The Cut by Wolfgang Puck restaurant.
At the same venue earlier this month, the second Watch and Jewellery series event was an exclusive evening hosted by Chopard. Wolfgang Puck was just back from his 22nd year of catering for the Oscars Governor’s Ball in Hollywood, and prepared a four-course Oscars-inspired menu for the 30 VIP guests at Cut, and also made a special appearance. The guests viewed Chopard’s Red Carpet and High Jewellery collections, which featured some pieces seen on celebrities at major film festivals.
The next event will be a “gentlemen only” night exclusive to Hublot’s top VIPs, Ferrari car owners and selected guests from Marina Bay Sands’ loyalty-card program Sands Rewards LifeStyle (SRL). Guests will see the most comprehensive showcase of Ferrari timepieces from Hublot to date, and be the first consumers in Asia to view the brand’s latest timepieces that were introduced at the latest Basel Fair in Switzerland.
At the end of March, the event will feature a Ferrari California T driving experience for lucky guests before dinner at Cut.
“The series represents a new chapter in our quest to deliver the ultimate retail experience, and we are honoured to work closely with our long-standing retail partners to curate these highly exclusive and engaging brand experiences for their VIPs and our shoppers,” says Marina Bay Sands VP of retail John Postle.
Meanwhile, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is continuing to rejuvenate its fashion offering, and has just expanded into the luxury children’s segment. Over the next two quarters, openings will include an expanded Longchamp boutique, American women’s clothing and accessories label Tory Burch, Italian shoes, bags and accessories label Tod’s, and Italian designer label Brunello Cucinelli, as well as the first Valentino Men in Singapore.
