Luxury handbag brand Aspinal of London is planning international expansion.
According to a report in the Daily Mail newspaper, the iconic UK retailer is set to sell a stake to private equity investors to fund a rollout beyond its current core UK home market.
Sources told the Daily Mail that advisors from PricewaterhouseCoopers are working on the sale, which would value the business at about £75 million.
Aspinal of London sells bags at prices as high as £1000 and counts celebrities amongst its customers, including Pippa Middleton.
The company, established in 2001, sells largely online but has expanded to brick-and-mortar stores including a flagship in London’s Mayfair.
