Second CBME Singapore attracts 100 brands

Nearly 100 brands from more than 10 countries will be featured at the second Children, Baby and Maternity Expo (CBME Singapore) event opening on Wednesday April 13.

Over three days at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center, the business-to-business event will showcase to retailers new products from Australia, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

A business-matching program for Southeast Asian buyers will help them meet exhibitors. Attending will be buyers and distributors from Concung (Vietnam), Dynamic Multi-Products (Philippines), Metro (Indonesia), Mom’s & I (Indonesia), Naiise (Singapore), PT Bilna (Indonesia), Robinsons (Singapore), Sweet Cherry (Malaysia) and Yen’s Baby & Kid’s Shop (Indonesia).

Trade visitors will also be able to find the latest products from brands and suppliers in a New Products Gallery.

With the support of such groups as the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises, Association of Korea Clothes Sales, Kinerja BISA from Indonesia and Singapore Tourism Board, CBME SEA targets the top six markets in Southeast Asia – Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. The targeted markets account to more than 175 million children 14 years and younger, and have a GDP purchasing power parity of US$3.5 trillion.

Participating brands include Alzipmat, Azetabio, Baken, Better Bump, Beshine, Capella, Emu Australia, Happyganics, Hubdic, Karibu, Larktale, Little Tree, Lucky Baby, Marc & Molly’s, Nateen, Nihon Ikuji, NIP, Ordesa, Piyo Piyo, Pouch and Simba. Products include baby care, food, strollers, car seats, childrenswear and more.

Seminars and activities include a session by Nielsen Singapore and Malaysia MD Joanna Koh, Growing with Baby Steps, which covers the overall demographic landscape of Southeast Asia, category trends, market size and drivers for baby products.

CBME GM Athena Gong’s session, Unlock the Doors to China’s Booming Child, Baby and Maternity Market, will give a market overview of China’s baby products market, distribution channels, consumer behaviour and case studies.

Attendance for trade visitors is free, including the exhibition, show-floor seminars and other activities.
