H&M is the first fashion company to have launched a clothing collecting initiative worldwide. Launched in 2013, it allows customers to leave their old garments with H&M for reuse and recycling. The program covers all 20 H&M stores in Hong Kong, which have accumulatively collected more than 73 tonnes of unwanted textiles.
During its World Recycle Week this month, H&M has set a goal to collect 1000 tonnes of unwanted garments from customers in about 3900 stores worldwide.
