South Korea’s Hyundai Department Store Group has opened the Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, in Incheon’s international business district.
Hyundai invested 350 billion won ($348.8 million) to build the three-storey outlet store, with one underground floor, on a 49,500 sqm site.
With as many as 300 brands, the mall is Korea’s first premium outlet store in a city centre, says Hyundai. Premium outlet malls are usually built in suburbs.
For the first time in the region, the mall has a Bottega Veneta outlet. It also introduces Akris and Golden Goose to Korea.
Hyundai says it aims to raise 350 billion won in annual sales from the mall.
