Increased footfall sparks Changi airport retail growth

Growth in Changi airport retail follows a rise of more than 8 per cent in foot traffic.

The increased footfall – and spending by shoppers – is behind the opening of new retail spaces within the airport’s terminals.

Korean fashion brand Redeye has opened at T3’s Basement Two, while in T2, luxury brand Bottega Veneta has an outlet in the transit area. The stores join a new American Garrett Popcorn outlet and the introduction to Asia of the French spa service Be Relax, in T3.

Changi airport recorded 4.9 million passenger movements last month, including double-digit growth from Southeast Asia, northeast and south Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
