WGSN Futures seminars in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland

WGSN is hosting its Futures events in Australia and New Zealand this month.

The WGSN Futures seminars will be in Auckland on May 13, Sydney on May 17 and Melbourne on May 19.

Last year, more than 1000 delegates attend the event, making it a ‘must see’ summit for retail executives, marketers, buyers, merchandisers and designers.

“Following popular feedback/demand from the previous event, WGSN is running the event again this year in May,” a spokesperson said.

The WGSN Futures seminar will be an all-day event structured into a morning session called the Business Edit and an afternoon session called the Creative Edit. The Business Edit will presented by Lorna Hall, head of market intelligence and this session will be about the latest retail and digital marketing strategies impacting in 2016. The morning session also includes a panel discussion about the actionable advice from the panel of fashion, eCommerce, logistics and marketing experts, facilitated by Hall, who will be joined by Tony Brown, GM of Specialty Fashion Group (Sydney), Melanie Flintoft, co-founder & creative director of Australian Fashion Labels (Melbourne), Simon West, executive director of Max Fashions (Auckland), Miguel Leone, CEO of Cinder (Sydney & Melbourne) and Richard Morgan, CCO of Damco (Sydney & Melbourne).

The afternoon session called the Creative Edit has two options: Womenswear, girlswear,

footwear & accessories, presented by Greer Hughes, senior consultant of WGSN Mindset; or Menswear, boyswear & accessories, presented by Yianni Giovanoglou, WGSN trend specialist

Australia/New Zealand. The Creative Edit will be about the design direction in line with current catwalk and customer buying trends, and get the right balance between newness and commerciality with the Spring/Summer ‘17 Buyer’s Briefing.
