Changi Airport Cocktail festival

A Changi Airport cocktail festival is being hosted by the DFS Wines & Spirits Duplex over six weeks in Terminal 3.

Celebrating the first year of the duplex, the DFS Cocktail Festival features guest bartenders from bars in Singapore, master classes, signature cocktail creations and complimentary tastings. It kicks off a year-long series of themes wine and spirits festivals at the duplex.

To start the party rolling, three special Singapore-inspired signature cocktails will be available free for customers at the upper level of the duplex until the end of June… Chop Chop Lah (inspired by chicken rice and made with Absolut Vodka), Shiok Date (inspired by traditional herbal soup dessert cheng tng and featuring Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel) and Kiasu Kaya (the flavours of coconut and pandan, and made with Ron Zacapa rum and Benedictine DOM).

There will be a series of events over six weekends as well as mini-master classes during the week.

A champagne cocktail party on June 3 and 4 will feature the new Veuve Cliquot Rich product, and on Friday and Saturdays a succession of Singapore bartenders will present their own Singapore-inspired cocktails designed exclusively for the festival. The line-up is: Brendon Khoo of 28 HongKong Street (May 20-21), Christyne Lee of Jigger & Pony (May 27-28), Philip Bischoff of Manhattan (June 10-11), Adam “Eddy” Bursik of The Library (June 17-18) and Byron Tan of Smoke & Mirrors (June 24-25).

Signature Cocktails

At the upper-level Long Bar by Raffles, master classes will feature special cocktails inspired by such Singaporean dishes as kaya, chicken rice and cheng teng. Take-home recipe cards will be issued.

Every Friday and Saturday evening there will be a cocktail flairing performance at the entrance to the duplex, and customers spending SG$150 (US$105) or more on spirits will receive a gift of a backpack.
