Blancpain Hong Kong has opened a flagship watch boutique in the heart of Central.
Located on one of Hong Kong’s busiest streets, Queens Rd, the 110 sqm flagship features timber, evoking traditional master-watchmaker benches. There is a lounge area and library together with a bar.
A festive ribbon-cutting ceremony and lion dance was followed by a cocktail session in the store for special guests and partners.
Special guests arrived in a Lamborghini Huracan for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, at which Blancpain’s vice-president and head of marketing Alain Delamuraz, vice-president and head of sales Marc Junod, and Hong Kong/Macau vice-president Jalil Elkouch-Bordier officiated. They were joined by ‘friends’ of the brand, chef Joel Robuchon and Lamborghini Hong Kong director Albert Wong.
During the cocktail session, guests were able to explore the store and see Blancpain’s Basel 2016 novelties, as well as see a demonstration by a watchmaker.’
In the evening there was an exclusive celebratory VIP dinner at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Landmark. Robuchon signed aprons as a gift for each guest, and the venue was decorated in Blancpain style. Timepieces were on display in a VIP room.
Meanwhile, Blancpain has opened a shop-in-shop in the Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store in Osaka, Japan.
Founded in Switzerland in 1735 by Jehan-Jacques, Blancpain is the world’s oldest watchmaking brand.
