Two Singapore malls are nearing completion – Katong Square and Tanjong Pagar Centre.
Katong Square, on East Coast Road in District 15, is a mixed development that will have about 600 hotel rooms being managed by the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) under its Holiday Inn Express and Hotel Indigo brands, parking for 300 cars and more than 20 food-and-beverage outlets covering two storeys.
On the site of the former Joo Chiat Police Station, Katong Square is in the heart of Katong and has the largest open public space in the vicinity,
Already an award-winner, the Tanjong Pagar Centre will have Singapore’s tallest building at 290m, and includes office space and six storeys of retail and F&B, a five-star hotel, 181 luxury residences and Singapore’s first double-storey urban park. Scheduled for completion within the next few months, it is above the Tanjong Pagar MRT station.
Being developed by GuocoLand, the project was won the Mixed-use Development Singapore title in the 2014-15 Asia Pacific Property Awards, as well as other awards. GuocoLand is a public company, listed on the Singapore Exchange since 1978. The main business activities of its subsidiaries are property investment and development, and hotel and property management.
With its headquarters in Singapore, GuocoLand has interests also in China, Malaysia and Vietnam.
