BHG Department Store plans largest outlet

BHG Department Store plans take over two floors at the Jurong Point shopping mall, currently occupied by beauty products retailer John Little.

It also plans to occupy an extra level at the suburban mall, giving the store an eventual floor area of 49,000 sqft (4552 sqm),which would make it BHG’s largest outlet in the western part of the island.

After about 20 years at the mall, John Little will leave in the second half of this year.

BHG says it will introduce both popular and exclusive brands across fashion, beauty, home, lifestyle and children, and will broaden its range of home lifestyle brands. This will make its Home & Living department one of its largest in the suburbs.

MD Katsuharu Inamoto says the company is confident shoppers will respond positively to the product mix at the store.

Jurong Point, with 750,000 sqft of lettable space, is the largest suburban mall in Singapore. Anchored by FairPrice Xtra, Golden Village, NTUC FairPrice and three food courts, the mall is owned jointly by Guthrie and Lee Kim Tah.
