Peninsula Merchandising revamps website

Peninsula Merchandising has revamped its PeninsulaBoutique.com website, offering a more personalised, faster three-step purchase process.
Customers can browse by product type, gift ideas for specific occasions and by collections, with a choice of more than 300 products including gourmet items, lifestyle and festive delights, and seasonal surprises.
A feature is short films showing the hotel’s chefs in action, while the site’s social-media integration makes it easy for visitors to share content and connect to networks without leaving the website, which offers a consistent shopping experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
“Apart from being aesthetically pleasing, the website is more interactive and easy to navigate,” says Peninsula Merchandising GM Julie Bourgeois.
The Peninsula Boutique showcases the legendary hotel, with gourmet items such as artisanal chocolates made in-house at The Peninsula Hong Kong, Chinese and Western teas and traditional Hong Kong treats. A highlight of the website is the possibility for customers to create their own selection of artisanal chocolate pralines presented in a box of their choice.
While the site primarily delivers to Hong Kong addresses, items can be sent to certain overseas locations, subject to customs regulations and import tax.
A subsidiary of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Peninsula Merchandising distributes Peninsula merchandise and licences Peninsula boutiques in key gateways of Asia. Peninsula Boutique outlets can be found at The Peninsula Hotels in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo (Boutique & Cafe), Manila, Bangkok and Chicago. There are also boutiques throughout Asia in department stores and shopping malls.
