Chuken Pachiko statue - Vanquish 1Tokyo subculture fashion brand Vanquish has placed a statue of its first original character Chuken Pachiko in its flagship Shibuya 109 Men’s Store.

It is a reminder of the symbol of the district of Shibuya, Chuken Hachiko (faithful dog Hachiko), which stands in front of Shibuya railway station.

“With this new character, we are aiming to make the store a new tourist attraction in Tokyo,” says the brand. “We are also planning to launch Chuken Pachiko items in the future.”

A Tokyo street subculture experience is offered at the store through digital effects and original fashion items.

Vanquish was formed by Ryo Ishikawa in 2004. Embodying Tokyo street subculture, its collections range from casual to semi-formal. The brand’s flagship store opened in 2006, featuring an audiovisual presentation system including a screen comprising nine panels, and an interactive hanger system called “Team lab hanger”.
