Dalian Wanda sales reach $7.5b

Contracted sales of about RMB50.6 billion (US$7.558 billion) were achieved by Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties during the first six months of this year, according to unaudited figures released by the Chinese group.
These sales cover about about 5.394 million sqm, says the Hong Kong-listed company.
Rental income for the period amounted to about RMB8.48 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 27.1 per cent.
Two new projects were acquired last month, involving 445,000 sqm of land and a total
gross floor area of 1.472 million sqm, including a 107,000 sqm commercial plaza and a total land premium of about RMB1.36 billion.
From January to June of 2016, land was acquired land with a total site area of 3.008 million sqm and a total gross floor area of 5.761 million sqm, with a gross floor area of 2.764
million sqm. for a commercial plaza and a total land premium of about RMB7.38
billion.
Eight Wanda Plazas were opened over the six months, while foot traffic to all its Wanda Plazas totalled 1108.36 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 18.5 per cent.
The group also runs hotels, with income from these totalling about RMB2.75 billion for the period, growth of 18 per cent.
